What is the difference between direct input and using Byte to help?

The left side allows for students to input an answer directly after reading the problem. Type in your answer and then click Check.

2. Step-by-Step Help from Byte
If the answer is incorrect or you are just unsure of how to answer, click on the ✋Can you help me? This is located in two areas. On the left side next to the check button, or on the right side at the bottom of the screen.
This will alert Byte to give a hint on the right side and begin the step-by-step help.
